Learnings from the therapy room, made practical for you.
Attuned practice training and resources for educators, parents, disability support workers, and aged care teams.
What is attuned practice?
Before you teach, support or care for someone, you tune in. We call this ‘connection before outcomes’ and the foundation of attuned practice. It’s grounded in the therapeutic relationship and decades of research into what makes connection, relationships, and all outcomes such as communication, co-regulation and wellbeing, actually work. It’s intentional. And it’s something everyone can learn.
About us
Tuned In Connections was founded by Anita Connell, Registered Music Therapist and Postdoctoral Researcher, to bring what works in the therapy room into everyday settings.
If you work with or care for children, people with disability, or older adults, or you’re supporting someone who does, this is for you.
Educators
What happens in the therapy room all made practical for your classroom. Attuned practice workshops and resources for educators and support teams, grounded in the neuroscience of connection and supporting inclusive communication, co-regulation and teacher-student relationships and wellbeing.
Parents & Carers
Connection Before Outcomes. Practical coaching, resources and training for parents, carers and support workers building skills in inclusive communication, emotional support and attuned care.
Aged Care
Relationship is the intervention. Training and resources for aged care teams with a focus on using music intentionally to support connection, caregiving, healthy ageing and dementia care.
